Providing family services is an important part of LPHS’ philosophy

We believe all families have strengths and the best way to enhance a child’s development is to build on their parents’ strengths.  Head Start’s family services can help achieve this goal.

Parent involvement is supported by providing family services that allow opportunities, information, and encouragement for each family member to be an active part of the Head Start experience.

Parents are the primary educators of their children. Little People’s Head Start believes that by providing opportunities for family growth in education, social services, and health, parents will learn new skills and strategies to meet the ongoing health, nutritional, social, and educational needs of their family.

Parents and families are supported in achieving their own goals, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security. Programs support and strengthen parent-child relationships and engage families around children’s learning and development.
